In my view, Final Fantasy VII defines the category of RPG games! Great storyline, memorable characters and gameplay are its strong characteristics! Here I must admit that I finished it four times .. I wish for an epic remake for ps3!!!

FF7 was a game ahead of it's time, it was one of the first Playstation games to use 3d molding on it's characters. The storyline was like nothing else out there, once you start it up you'll become so immersed in it that it'll be hard to put down.
For any retro gamers out there this game gets looked over so much now because of the 8th and 9th installations however the story of revenge is epic.
The plot twist is something you don't see coming until late into the game. The bosses always pose a challenge if you try running through it. This is a game for anyone who wants to spend a good 70-80 hours on to get that 100% completion on.
On a scale of 1 to 10 this game is a 9/10 this is one of my childhood favorites and it's one of the few I'll still play.
An epic adventure across 3 cd-roms. What begins as a rebellion against an evil corporation becomes much more. And what erupts goes beyond imagination. With vivid landscapes, lush 3D animation and environments, Square Soft's multi-million dollar masterpiece is like nothing ever seen before.
AcemaD rates this game: 5/5The game was never overrated. As soon as it appeared on PS, even I knew the game was great just by lookin at the CD cover. Even though I felt quite odd seeing my character as a little toy, still I could understand the game was great.
And it was the first FF in3D, which, of course, gave it some points, it made it much more attractive. And yes, seeing cool graphics rather than sprites does add attraction to the game. When the game appeared - it was one of the best. And it was a great combination of 3D graphics, wonderul story, interesting fighting system and beautiful characters.

I don't know why this game gets all the praise it does. I never saw it as the best Final Fantasy at all, as many other titles rank much higher in fun.
The story could have been much better, and gameplay added very little that older titles didn't already have. The only thing that this game did differently was the use of 3D modles over sprites (Ooooooh, because graphics make a game good).
In my opinion, you're better off playing Final Fantasy VI (III to use English speakers) or Final Fantasy IX.
Really, if you say Final Fantasy, this is the game that comes to mind and I really can't imagine why.
2/5 for the fact that it could have been much better.

Final Fantasy 7..To put this clearly, one of the most celebrated games in the Final Fantasy series, generating over 9,000,000 copies sold. First of it's kind when it came to 3d gaming, it pioneered their already vast audience and fans with a storyline unlike any other to this day. The story behind Final Fantasy 7 is about 'life'. The main 'hero' of this game Cloud Strife, is one of the most realisticly human hero's the series has to offer. Stubborn, quiet, weak, yet somehow through the help of his friends is able to push on and prove to mainly to himself that he is the person he has lied about being. As a long time final fantasy fan, final fantasy 7 is by far one of my favorite in the series. Squaresoft truely broke the mold after this game was created, as much as they tried the other games following this never quite held the splendor this game has to offer. A true must to add to any collection for any gamer out there.
